Spanglish Boom-Bap triumvirate Grupo HNE (pronounced Henny) has dropped new visuals for their recent single “The Palmetto”.
Sub-titled as “A musical ode to Miami’s traffic nightmare”, "The Palmetto" refers to State Route 826 aka The Palmetto Expressway.
DJ Exes explained the track “was written from the perspective of the average Miamian on their way home after a 40-hour work week - right into permanent gridlock and road chaos. It’s enough to drive any sane man mad!”
Directed by MrBeleaf, and co-directed by Cuban emcee Orion (who also appears on the track), "The Palmetto"'s breezy-easy jazz and uplifting instrumental contrasts with the bars of frustration; in homage to the 1993 classic cinema gem, Falling Down.
